It also reminds me of when C. S. Lewis talks about joy being this unnatainable feeling that shows itself at times only to flee the next time, leaving us with a sense of discovering what exists beyond there. It's such a poignant way to express this "Divine Dance", as Richard Rohr puts it. God showing and "hiding" himself away only to make us keep drawing near...
👏🏻 stunning words, and true of the human existence. grateful for the way these things point the to Eternal beauty that will last forever. how precious that we get these small glimpses of Him here.
"That feeling when your playlist hits just the right song at just the right time and it starts feeling like a soundtrack to a movie about your life." I LOVE THESE MOMENTS!
This is one of the most simple and sincere things I have ever read. I’ve felt the same reflections of this article in my own soul and it was lovely to meet the thoughts with words.
This write up slowed down time for me. Beauty certainly shows itself in a multitude of ways. Coincidentally had "19:00 Listen" playing in the background too!
For me I see beauty as I remain in The Spirit, no matter, His Leading itself... But look, the beauty of a human no matter the age, as a life of sacrifice like Jesus, beautiful even in no matter what form God allowed, as it was a victory, a love sacrifice, beauty in so many depths and aspects. Also, the connections we have (as a Glory To Glory process in our Faith) are eternal, keeping it therefore forever, so to me, nothing Good truly fades.
"...life itself is both beautiful, and fleeting." All of this is like thoughts I have locked away being exposed, it is both strange and comforting to know these are thoughts of others too. I keep thinking God for allowing me to be here. To experience life and existence as fleeting as it may be, all that you expressed is truly what makes living so marvelous and intricate. Beautifully written!

Friend, this is so lovely
Thank you Amy!!
“All things brief and beautiful,
All moments great and small,
Somehow sad and wonderful,
I’ve grown to love them all.”

I love the way you write, Jon. And this speaks so much to my heart... ❤️

This was a piece and you wrote it. 👌
NICK DRAKE!!!! The only Drake that could truly beat Kendrick.
This is so precious, Jonathan!
I also had phở bò today!
Always a solid choice 👏
Have you had phở bò tái, where the meat is raw before adding the hot broth?
Yes!
I'm too scared for that, I only eat that at home because food safety 😆
